Ground-level dryer vent cleaning: fast, thorough lint and debris removal with professional brushes. Easy access lets technicians finish quickly with minimal disruption, boosting dryer efficiency and reducing fire risk. Ideal for homeowners seeking convenient, effective maintenance.
We unplug and pull the dryer out, disconnect the vent hose and reconnect to vacuum port (shop vac). From inside we brush towards the roof vent to remove loosened lint and debris. Reconnect duct, tighten clamps, push dryer back, plug in, and run a short air-only cycle to check airflow. Dispose of lint and clean up. Repeat yearly or more for heavy use.
All prices are based on length. An additional $50 charge will be applied for lengths in excess of 10'.
Cleaning an exterior dryer vent from a ladder involves safely reaching the outside vent to remove lint and debris that block airflow. Using a sturdy ladder and fall protection, the technician inspects and, if needed, removes the vent cap, clears any lint with brushes, checks the vent flap and duct then reseals or replaces damaged parts.
Dryer vent cleaning is the process of removing accumulated lint, debris, and dust from a clothes dryer’s exhaust duct system to ensure proper airflow and safety. This maintenance is critical because lint is highly combustible, and clogged vents are the leading cause of domestic dryer fires, while also reducing energy efficiency and appliance lifespan.
Our dryer vent cleaning process involves connecting our brush to several adjustable rods and attaching it to a cordless drill for rotation. We then insert the brush into the vent—often starting from the exterior to allow gravity to help clear debris—and rotate it while pushing and pulling to scour the entire length of the duct.
Our Repair Services
Dryer vent repair involves diagnosing and fixing structural or airflow issues in the ductwork connecting a dryer to the exterior, addressing problems like crushed ducts, lint clogs, rusted vents, and disconnected sections.
Dryer Vent Repair — Splice or Reattachment
What this repair covers
Inspect the dryer vent line and connections for separation, loose fittings, or damaged vent sections.
Reattach disconnected vent sections (flexible or rigid) to restore a continuous, secure airflow path.
Seal joints and seams to prevent leaks and reduce lint buildup
Dryer Vent Hood Replacement
Inspect the hood and flashing for damage or obstructions.
Remove the old hood and clean lint from the duct and opening.
Measure and select the correct-size hood with a backdraft/rodent flap.
Fasten the new hood with rust‑proof screws and add support if needed.
Reconnect the duct using foil or a rigid transition; secure with clamps or tape per code.
Test airflow and the flap operation; repair leaks and reseal if necessary.
Intermediate Dryer Vent Repair (under 10 feet)
Inspect vent path, connections, and exterior termination for blockages, damage, and improper angles
Remove and replace up to 10 feet of damaged rigid or semi-rigid ducting with aluminum or galvanized duct material
Reseal and clamp all joints, replace damaged elbows or adapters, and install a new exterior vent hood or backdraft damper if needed
Clean accessible lint buildup from the replaced section and adjacent connectors
Test airflow at the dryer and exterior to confirm improved ventilation and reduced restriction
Provide before-and-after photos, a safety check for dryer and gas connections (if applicable), and a concise service report with recommendations
Advanced Dryer Vent Repair (over 10’)
Inspection of entire dryer vent run exceeding 10 feet, including access to attic, crawlspace, or exterior outlet
Removal of lint buildup, debris, and obstructions from full length of ductwork
Assessment and repair or replacement of damaged, crushed, disconnected, or improperly sloped vent sections
Replacement of non-code-compliant foil or plastic ducting with rigid or semi-rigid metal duct as needed
Resealing of all connections with metal foil tape and installation of approved clamps or mechanical fasteners
Repair or replacement of exterior vent hood, damper, and bird/insect screen if damaged or missing
Correction of excessive bends or long unsupported runs to improve airflow and reduce fire risk
Testing of airflow and dryer operation after repairs, with before-and-after photos and a brief service report
Upgrade Services
Our dryer vent upgrade services involve swapping out unsafe flexible foil or plastic hoses for rigid or semi-rigid metal ductwork to improve airflow and reduce fire hazards
A full dryer vent upgrade replaces the entire exhaust from the dryer to the outside hood to boost safety, efficiency, and performance. It removes old flexible hose and damaged sections, inspects/repairs the dryer outlet and wall boot, and installs a correctly sized continuous rigid or semi‑rigid metal vent. Joints are sealed and clamped with high‑temp hardware, a code‑compliant exterior hood with damper is fitted, and the run is set with proper slope, minimal bends, and clearance from combustibles.
Relocating a dryer vent hood moves the exterior outlet to improve airflow, meet code, or suit a remodel. It includes disconnecting the duct, cutting and sealing a new hole, installing a vent hood with flashing and weatherproofing, reconnecting the duct with proper support and slope, and patching the old opening. Typically takes a few hours, minimizes structural changes, and improves exhaust safety while reducing lint buildup.
